Whether you are looking for tennis lessons, an after school activity for the kids or just want to hit the ball around for some fun; the Boca Raton Tennis Centers have what you’re looking for. There are three state-of-the-art tennis facilities, downtown, on St. Andrews Boulevard (just north Glades) and within Patch Reef Park (just west of Military Trail on Yamato Road).
Here are a few details on each:
- The Boca Raton Tennis Center is located at 271 NW Boca Raton Boulevard, which places it adjacent to City Hall and diagonally across the street from the new library. It’s open everyday at 8:00am. On weekdays it closes 8:00pm. On Saturdays it’s open until 6:00pm and until 1:00pm on Sundays. The location is particularly convenient for anyone living on the east side of town.
- Patch Reef Park Tennis Center opens at 7:30am and closes on weekends at 5:00 pm Sunday and 6:00pm Saturday. They have an impressive youth tennis program for kids ages 3-17.
- The Racquet Center is located on St Andrews Blvd. It’s open 7 days as well and the hours are Mon-Thurs 7:30am-10:00pm, Friday until 8:00pm, Saturday to 6:00pm and Sunday to 5:00pm. The Racquet Center also includes a 6 lane pool that’s heated in the winter and cooled in the summer to maintain comfort. The facility is undergoing an extensive renovation which will include a new 5500 square foot community center. The former Chuck’s Steakhouse on the property that has been closed for many years is being torn down.
- When finished, the new Swim and Racket Center will be a beautiful enhancement to Boca’s public facilities.
- The Downtown Boca Raton Tennis Center and The Racquet Center feature clay courts and Patch Reef Park’s are hard courts.
- Each of the Boca Raton tennis centers also holds camp during school breaks and over the summer.
