Boca Raton Parks
It would be an understatement to suggest that the City of Boca Raton has nice parks. The parks in Boca Raton are incredibly well-kept, offer varying activities and gorgeous, natural scenery. Boca Raton’s parks are a great resource for families who live in Boca Raton, particularly those with young kids. They are also a favorite destination for visitors to the city, especially those coming from northern climates in the wintertime.
Most parks have picnic and grilling areas that are ideal for family gatherings. Watch out for the racoons as they are residents of the park and love gourmet cookouts as much anyone. Boca Raton parks are an ideal spot for birthday parties, parking for the beach or just running around and soaking in South Florida’s amazing climate.
One way to differentiate the parks is by whether they are on / adjacent to the beach or not and whether they charge admission / a parking fee. Most parks near the beach charge a per vehicle fee, although annual passes are available (and widely used) by Boca Raton residents. Many of the parks have fields which are used extensively by baseball, softball, basketball, football, soccer and lacrosse leagues.
Be sure to say hello to one of Boca’s Park Rangers. They are very knowledgeable about the parks and are there to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable time.
