Every Spring the NFL owners, executives and coaches gather for a series of meetings to cover all business matters that are taking place in the league. It presents a forum for key individuals involved with the operation and management of the league to reflect on the season that recently concluded, discuss issues that arose and strategize on how to improve upon the league’s fortunes moving forward.
This year’s gathering is being held at the Boca Raton Resort from March 20-23rd.
The 3 days of meetings encompass:
- Roger Goodell’s speech & ending press conference
- Discussion on rules changes
- Competition committee
- Broadcast committee
- Coach’s photo
- Sun and social gatherings at the beautiful Boca Raton Resort
2016 is an ideal time for these high profile meetings to take place in Boca Raton as there’s so much development underway (residences, apartments, hotels and new restaurants). While the city is certainly accustomed to hosting exclusive and security intensive gatherings (like presidential debates, senior’s golf tournaments, charity events and loads of corporate gatherings and tradeshows), events like the NFL owner’s meeting help shed an impressive light during this transitional (growth) phase of Boca’s evolution.
South Florida has always been a hotspot as so many athletes, and sports professionals, including football players make this area their home. So for many of the attendees, the travel associated with participating this time was quite easy.
